Ozon reported 140 % growth in turnover in 2020
In 2020, Ozon's turnover increased by 140 % YoY, to 195 billion rubles, according to the company's statement on preliminary operating results.
In Q4 2020, the company's turnover, including service fees, grew up by more than 140 % and exceeded 74 billion rubles.
Ozon attributed the increase to high ordering frequency, growing sales across regions, and expanding fintech initiatives.
In 2020, the share of GMV marketplace became 48 % versus 17 % in 2019. At the same time, in Q4 2020, this indicator reached 52 %, having doubled from 26 % in Q4 2019.
In 2020, the number of completed orders reached 73.9 million, which is 132 % more than a year earlier, the company said.
Ozon CEO Alexander Shulgin noted that Q4 2020 was a period of record growth for Ozon as a marketplace, and expansion into the regions stimulated an increase in sales across various cities of Russia.
