The e-commerce market in Russia will grow by an average of 30% per year

According to Data Insight, the total number of orders in online stores and on marketplaces since the beginning of the year increased by 78% and reached 830 million.

In monetary terms, an increase was recorded of 47%, to 2.5 trillion rubles. According to expert estimates, the rapid growth of the e-commerce market in the first half of 2020 was achieved by the largest players. In addition, the demand for grocery delivery services has grown significantly. Experts predict that the e-commerce market in Russia will grow in the coming years by an average of 30%.

So, for example, the number of purchases on Wildberries began to grow from the beginning of December: the number of orders per day reached an average of 1.5 million, while a year earlier this figure was about 700,000.
