WINNERS OF WAREHOUSE GAMES LOAD CUP 2018 DECLARED

The results have been announced for LOAD CUP 2018, an industry-wide competition among warehouse operators organized within the framework of the Second Warehouse Games, held annually by the logistics company V7.

The event took place at the Severnoe Domodedovo warehouse complex, and included one of the world leaders in the field of handling and storage equipment: the German concern Jungheinrich. Teams from the warehouse operator V7, the logistics agency 20A, the Baikal Service transport company, as well as other teams, competed in driving skills on Jungheinrich lift trucks.

The competition consisted of nine contests, seven of which were for lifting and loading equipment drivers, and two of which were for stockers and loaders. Participants in each contest received from 0 to 10 points and added their points to their team’s "piggy bank." The winner of the LOAD CUP 2018 was determined based on the total points from all contests.

The competition winners were announced after completing a relay race on Jungheinrich EFG 216 lift trucks, including making it through a maze made of cones, bowling and spotting games with pallets, as well as other equally complex contests. The Grand Prix went to the team V7 – Radius. Honorable second place was awarded to the operators V7 – Domodedovo. The bronze prize-winner of the competition was the team Baikal Service. All the championship winners and participants received valuable prizes from LOAD CUP 2018’s organizers and sponsors.

"Our main goal in holding the Second Warehouse Games LOAD CUP 2018 is to rally teams and offer the opportunity to note those who have mastered the skill of managing technology at the highest level so that they can share their experience with colleagues. We hope that next year the championship will expand and we will be able to attract new teams to participate in it,” said Mikhail Morozov, CEO of V7. “In our warehouses, we use only Jungheinrich technology, and in all the years of working with it we have had no complaints against it. Therefore, we had no doubts about which lift trucks would be part of the competition today!"

"We are pleased that this event, which is important not only for the tenants of the complex, but also for market participants as a whole, took place on the territory of Severnoe Domodedovo warehouse complex. In our opinion, this is symbolic: Severnoe Domodedovo has been the flagship of the Russian warehouse real estate market since its inception. During the time that the complex has been in operation, worthy representatives from the transport and logistics business have gathered on its territory, where experts, as proven by the results of LOAD CUP 2018, work," remarked Gleb Belavin, Deputy Director General of Tenant Relations at the MLP Company, on the victory of the warehouse operator V7 team.

"We are thankful to V7 and their partners for organizing LOAD CUP 2018 and for inviting Jungheinrich to participate in it. At today’s championship, people competed, whose skills largely affect the efficiency of work at companies’ warehouse facilities. And we hope that Jungheinrich tools will help them in this every day, just as today it contributed to easily and successfully completing the contests. The atmosphere was magnificent! I am convinced that the participants and spectators enjoyed the event," commented Leonid Obernik, the Head Rental and Leasing Development at Jungheinrich in Russia. “We hope that our cooperation with V7, which began in 2014, will continue for many more years, and that next year Jungheinrich will return to LOAD CUP not only with the tools, but also with its own team."
