X5 RETAIL GROUP'S REVENUE ROSE BY A QUARTER IN 2017

The X5 Retail Group's retail revenue rose by 25.5% overall in 2017, to 1.287 trillion rubles, as reported by the company's press service.

Revenue in 2017 grew most actively for the chains Pyatyorochka and Perekryostok (+29% to 1 trillion rubles and +20% to 187 billion rubles, respectively). Revenue for the Karusel chain of hypermarkets rose by 6.9% to 89.3 billion rubles, while the Perekryostok Express chain fell by 11.6% to 9.8 billion rubles.

The average sale amount for all store formats in 2017 was 382.5 rubles. The company's commercial space rose by 27.4% to 5,479,741 sq. m.: Pyatyorochka (+33%) and Perekryostok (+ 16.2%) grew the most dynamically. The entire number of stores throughout the whole chain rose by 31.9% in 2017 to 12,121, which includes 11,225 Pyatyorochka stores, 638 Perekryostok stores, 93 Karusel hypermarkets, and 165 Perekryostok Express stores. Of those, the only decrease was in the number of Perekryostok Express stores: there were 194 of them in 2016.
