intetsu World Express Company Leased 15,000 sq. m. in the Nikolskoye Warehouse Complex

The international freight forwarding company Kintetsu World Express (KWE) rented 15,000 sq.m. in Nikolskoe grade A logistics park, located in Moscow's Dmitrovsky District.

The international consulting company Cushman & Wakefield acted as consultants for the deal.

The Japanese corporation KWE, which specializes in international cargo transportation and contract logistics, carefully examined what the warehouse real estate market had to offer in their search for high-quality ready-for-entry sites that provide the ability to store and handle oversized cargo. Resultantly, the company opted for the Nikolskoe warehouse complex, which is fully equipped to meet the needs of the transport business and is ready for work. This is the first site that Kintetsu World Express has leased directly; until this point, the company used local partners for this purpose. The lease was signed for a term of 5 years.

The Nikolskoe warehouse complex, administered by MLP Management Company, was designed and created to meet modern standards (technical engineering network, CCTV and 24-hour security, dispatcher, sprinkler fire suppression systems, fire alarms, etc.). It was commissioned in 2015. The site's area is 107,000 sq. m. Nikolskoe is located at the intersection of the Moscow Small Ring Road and the Dmitrovskoe Highway, 35 km from MKAD (Moscow Ring Road). It is 17 km from the Leningrad Highway and 13 km from the new Moscow-St. Petersburg motorway.

Egor Dorofeev, a partner and the Director of Warehouse and Industrial Real Estate for Cushman & Wakefield, said the following: "The situation in the warehouse real estate segment is slowly but surely recovering. We are noticing a strong demand for high-quality warehouse space coming from trading networks, as well as production, logistics, and freight-forwarding companies. Nikolskoe is a popular project within the market with an excellent location and flexible commercial policy, which make it attractive for a wide range of Russian and international companies. It is no accident that Kintetsu World Express chose this site as their primary platform for developing their business in Russia."

Gleb Belavin, the Deputy Director General of Tenant Relations for MLP Management Company, commented on this deal: "KWE is not the first Japanese company to rent more 10,000 sq. m. in the Nikolskoe Warehouse Complex. A contract was signed with YOKOHAMA at the beginning of this year. Also, it should be noted that in the two years that the site has been managed by us, a quality pool of tenants has formed, each of which is leasing more than 10,000 sq. m. Currently, the tenants in Nikolskoe are major Russian and international companies, such as: Delovaya Rus, ARMTEK, Delovye Linii, YOKOHAMA, and KWE. The site is practically completely filled."
